Step # 1 Sign In to your Account

Log in to your Pinterest account, and at the upper left corner, you will see the option " Create Pins ". When you will click the button you will see a drop-down menu giving you two options:

• Create Pin
• Create Idea Pin

Choose " Create Idea Pin ",and then you will have two options: Either make a new idea pin or add a pin from your drafts. 

The choice is all yours. 

Step # 2 Upload Images

Next, you need to add the images you want to upload as your idea pins. You can upload up to 20 images at a time. You can directly drag and drop it on the arrow or manually upload it from the " Upload " option.

Here are a few specs on which you need to keep an eye. If you are uploading Videos, the file must be MP4 or M4V. 

The ideal pin size is 1080 x 1920 px. The file type can be PNG or Jpeg.

Step # 3 Optimization 

Optimization can add flavor to your online activities and the good news is like other social networks, Pinterest also has a separate toolbox to make optimization fun and engaging.

On the right side of your desktop screen, you will find the tools to design your story pins. There are three options available:

•  Adjust you pin
•  Add text (You can also change the font size)
•  Add or Change the Background color

Step # 4 Preview

In the bottom right corner of your screen, there is a preview button. Tap the button to see how your idea pins will look when you publish them. 

Click Next, and then you need to add some information.

Add a cover image and a title. Choose the board you want to publish. If you do have not the relevant board, you can create one. If you are pinning with your business accounts there are some advanced options to show shopping recommendations.

Step # 5 Publish

If you have followed the above-mentioned 4 steps in the right way, then you are ready to publish your idea pins.

 If you want to change something or you have missed something before then no need to worry you can always edit your idea pins after publishing.

If you want people to engage, you can allow comments as well which is disabled by default.

You can create idea pins with your mobile as well. You can do this by chrome or Pinterest app. I recommend using the Pinterest app because it is a more convenient way.

• Open your Pinterest app or website if you're using chrome.
• You will see a plus (+) sign at the bottom just after the search option.
• Click the button and you will see a drop-down menu. Choose " Create Idea Pin ".
• Choose a photo or video you want to pin or choose it from your drafts.
• Optimize. Preview. Publish

If you are not seeing idea pins in your app. Restart it to see the updated version but before this make sure ide pins are 

available in your region.
