On Pinterest, the process is the same as others but includes a touch of diversity. On Pinterest, the uploading of your content is called Pinning.

Now, to generate traffic, you have to create an aesthetic Pin that grabs the attention of your users.

Here we will see How to create a free attention grabbing Pinterest Pins Canva. If you're a non-designer then Canva is best fit for you.

Canva provides a complete kit to design a Pinterest pin with some additional features of uploading directly on Pinterest.

So, let's dive in.

1. Choose a Blank Pin or Template:

Now, if you are a complete beginner, I recommend going with Free Canva templates having great pin design ideas where you can just edit the images, and text according to your choice.

But if you know the design fundamentals then, you can create your own attractive Canva Pin from scratch.

Many Pinterest bloggers build their brand on Pinterest by creating the same types of pins for their everyday posts.

They just change the text or image and keep the format same for each Pin. Like this Page:

On my Pinterest page, I have followed the same format for each pin.

I prefer using a Photograph as a background and then add some text. Of course, I do it with Canva.

Note: According to the Pinterest guide, the recommended Pinterest Pin size is 1000 x 1500 pixels. These dimensions are available in Canva.

2. Add an Image.

Either you are creating a pin from scratch or using a template, it’s better to add an image.

Forbes says around 91% of users like visually appealing content than text.

Therefore, a high-quality image can bubble up your Pin impressions and clicks.

Unsplash, pixels, Free pic, and tons of free and paid websites are available that provide royalty-free and high-quality images.

You can transparent the image to increase the text quality and also can make it Photogenic by clicking the upper left button on your interface.

3. Add Text.

If you are done with graphics, jump on the text option.

Many bloggers make a pocket guide with their Pinterest pin, which means they write the bullets of their blog post or create a short text which explains the core objective of their blog post.

But if you don’t want to follow this, you can simply add the title of your blog post or product and can do some detailing by highlighting the most important keyword.

In Canva, you will find a list of elements that you can choose to highlight the text. Just need to do some research for the most suitable one.

4. Download the pin.

In Canva, you can connect your Pinterest account and directly upload the pin. If not, download the image by clicking the “ Download “ on the upper right corner in the format of your own choice. Usually, PNG is recommended but you can go for JPJ as well.

Pinterest is growing rapidly and offers some new amazing features as well. Now you can use “Idea pins “ that help increasing the followers.

Idea pins are like instagram stories but they don’t disappear after 24 hours. Use Canva to create great idea pins and increase your followers.
